On May 22, 2025, the Indian Army launched a precision counter-terrorism operation, codenamed Operation Trashi, in the Singhpora area of Chatroo, Kishtwar district, Jammu & Kashmir. The operation was initiated based on credible intelligence inputs about the presence of terrorists in the densely forested region.
Mission Objective

- Secure the border region from infiltration threats
- Restore peace and safety for civilians in the area
